About APFA

The Association of Professional Flight Attendants is the certified collective bargaining representative for the American Airlines Flight Attendants.

It is through the APFA that we are able to negotiate fair contracts, promote our interests in Washington, D.C., guarantee our rights, and settle disputes with the Company judiciously.

Membership in the Union enables each American Airlines Flight Attendant to multiply the power that he or she would have alone. Our strength is in our numbers, our organization, and our unity. So, please wear your Union pin with pride and participate in your organization — the Association of Professional Flight Attendants!

9.26.25 – Updated Fatigue Risk Management Plan

Yesterday, the company announced updates to the Flight Attendant Fatigue Risk Management Plan (FRMP) which will go into effect on October 1, 2025. APFA initiated a Letter of Agreement in 2023 that required the company to meet with the Union to discuss the FRMP

Update: 2025-2026 CQ Module Length – Earlier this year, Flight Attendants began reporting that the 2025-2026 CQ web-based training (WBT) modules exceed the contractual limit for distance learning.

Flight Attendants who have started their 2025-2026 CQ web-based training modules are reporting that the time required to complete the training exceeds the contractual limit.

APFA commends the incredible professionalism and bravery of the Flight Attendants aboard Endeavor Air/Delta Connection Flight 4819, who successfully evacuated all 76 passengers under extremely adverse conditions after a crash landing
