As we previously reported, on Friday, in a very rare move and with one day’s notice, the National Mediation Board (NMB) ordered APFA and AA management to Washington, D.C., for further negotiations to attempt to reach an agreement.

6.30.24 – Negotiations Update #64: Talks Continue in Washington, D.C.

Negotiations between the APFA and AA went late into the evening yesterday at the offices of the National Mediation Board. Talks are ongoing as we continue the fight for the contract we deserve.

EULESS, TX– (June 20, 2024) – Today, contract talks between the Association of Professional Flight Attendants (APFA) and American Airlines ended without an agreement, moving 28,000 Flight Attendants one step closer to a strike.

6.18.24 – Coverage Needed (CN) Dates – July 2024

Coverage Needed (CN) is a term applied to any day in a bid month when not enough Flight Attendants bid in PBS to fly on that day. PBS will award as many Flight Attendants as possible to be off on a particular day.

This week, we continued our struggle for our contract at the National Mediation Board (NMB) offices in Washington, D.C. At the beginning of our mediation session, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su joined our talks with all three NMB members.
