Yesterday, DOT Secretary Duffy ordered a reduction in flight capacity at 40 major airports beginning tomorrow, with further cuts expected in the coming days if the government shutdown continues.
The APFA Fall Board of Directors meeting convened on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Minutes for this meeting will be published to the APFA website no later than thirty (30) business days after the conclusion of the meeting per Policy Manual Section 4.A.7.b.(3).

Today, January 26, 2024, the APFA National Ballot Committee certified the APFA National Officer Elections results. There will be a Run-Off Election for National President, National Vice President, National Secretary and National Treasurer positions.
Last week, APFA National President Julie Hedrick submitted a letter to the National Mediation Board (NMB) stating that contract negotiations are at an impasse and Flight Attendants should be free to strike American Airlines.
American Airlines Inflight Management is responsible for providing the proper support Flight Attendants need when experiencing a critical incident while on duty, and communicating with APFA is an integral part of that responsibility.
